According to media reports in recent weeks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have had serious problems interacting with each other. The reigning champions of Raw and SmackDown will compete in the Survivor Series, the last major pay-per-view of 2021.
Becky and Charlotte will not only fight for their brand to prevail but also resolve their heated feud once and for all. Speaking in the latest edition of ‘Busted Open Radio’ to promote the episode of NXT 2.0, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix also focused on the much-discussed conflict between Lynch and Flair.
“Today’s wrestling needs the clash of different personalities” – began Beth Phoenix.
Beth Phoenix on Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch
“For the first time in the women’s division, there are two legends like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch who have made known their mutual hatred.
The reaction from fans has been really intense and there’s no denying it’s a good thing for the business. Becky has admitted that she no longer trusts her former best friend and all the media are talking about it. This is what WWE has always wanted.
The bigger the conflict, the easier it is to generate money. I guarantee you that Flair and Lynch are perfectly aware of these mechanisms” – Beth Phoenix added. During an interview with ‘BT Sport’, Charlotte sent a message to all those who despise her.
“If I were a man, would I still bother people? Nobody would complain about a man who wants to win world titles and stay at the top for many years. Is Charlotte a difficult person? For what reason? Why do I stand up for what I believe in? If I were a man, there wouldn’t be all this controversy.
I know my worth well and can assure people that I am the best. What is the relationship between the Four Horsewomen? It is a tacit link. Our careers have taken different paths, but respect is always there. We all know how we feel for each other, what we have achieved together and how hard we have worked.”
Speaking in the opening of WWE’s ‘Build To Survivor Series 2021’ video, Becky Lynch briefly touched upon how they’ve drifted apart over the years. “Sometimes I thought we made amends. But, maybe we hadn’t.
That’s the way it is then. We’re just going to go out there and have a fight.” Lynch later added, “We used to be best friends. I don’t like who she’s become, she doesn’t like who I’ve become. When I win this one, it proves that I’m as great as they say I am.”
